Blouin, Natalie, Manager for the Ecodesign initiative, Institut de développement de produits (Montréal)
Natalie Blouin is a sustainable development and product development advisor at the Institut de développement de produits (IDP). Holding a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, she is certified as a Product Development Professional by the Product Development & Management Association. Before joining the IPD team, she worked in manufacturing for nearly sixteen years, building up solid expertise in product development and project management. In the 1990s, she began to take a more specific interest in questions related to integration of sustainable development into the company and wrote a Master’s project on the subject. This project led her to direct an initiative of the National Research Council Canada: the sustainable development project in design of the Institut de développement de produits.
The Institut de développement de produits is an industrial association based in Montréal, with the purpose of promoting the adoption of best practices in product design and development. The Institute also offers training, networking, diagnostic and coaching services to businesses that want to strengthen their innovative capacity.
