Mr. Moskowitz is currently Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and principal shareholder of Ceradyne. Ceradyne is an advanced technical ceramic corporation, co-founded by Mr. Moskowitz in 1967.
Mr. Moskowitz obtained a B.S. in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University in 1961 and a M.B.A. from the University of Southern California in 1967. In May 2005, Mr. Moskowitz was granted a Doctor of Science Degree (Honorary) from Alfred University. After serving as an officer in the U.S. Missile Command and as a Research Engineer for Interpace Corporation, Mr. Moskowitz’s entire career has been devoted to the development of advanced technical ceramics for a wide range of applications.
Mr. Moskowitz is a member of the Board of Trustees of Alfred University. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Ceramic Society and the National Institute of Ceramic Engineers. Because of his entrepreneurial background, Mr. Moskowitz has served on various academic and institution boards, including prior service on the Advisory Board of Clemson’s College of Engineering, and was named the Ernst and Young 1997 “Entrepreneur of the Year” for Orange County manufacturing.
