Larouche, Ghyslain, General Manager, SKL Aluminium Technologie (Jonquière, Québec)
Ghyslain Larouche is the owner and founder of three repair shops specializing in heat exchangers, located in Jonquière, Chicoutimi and La Baie for the past 40 years. Over the years, he has developed extensive know-how associated with the heat transfer field, including cooling and air conditioning systems. A visionary by nature, he has always been active with international associations in his field. Mr. Larouche strongly believes that the development of any company depends on watching its sector.
His knowledge of the market allowed him to evaluate a business opportunity with very high potential – the establishment of a tertiary aluminium processing plant, which designs and manufactures complete cooling systems, ranging from the simplest to the most complex. The SKL Aluminium Technologie plant, located in Aluminium Valley, specializes in special projects and niche production. Surrounded by an experienced team, Mr. Larouche conveys his passion and knowledge while pursuing his ambitions. A fervent defender of regional development, he is also a real estate developer. He owns several buildings in the Saguenay and has pursued this development for 30 years.
SKL Aluminium Technologie stands out from the competition as the only manufacturer of aluminium cooling cores in Canada, targeting heavy and specialized industry. The company has developed expertise allowing it to create its own manufacturing processes, innovate in the design of its assembly methods and control optimization of its products’ heat transfer needs. Its efforts focus on a constant vision of improving its brand to meet the specialized requirements of flexibility and innovation for each of its customers. Design of complete coolers is making a place for the company in the original equipment manufacturing sector in North America. Targeting low and medium volume OEM customers, SKL is positioning itself in the market for the quality of its products, its flexible engineering, its production and delivery deadlines and its competitiveness.
